Privacy policy

The commitments below reflect how the product is actually built — data minimization, no location exposure, no selling of personal data.

What we collect

Account data: your email and a securely hashed password. We never store plaintext passwords.
Profile data: what you add during onboarding — name, birth date, photos, prompts, preferences.
Activity: likes, passes, matches, and messages, so the product can work.

What other members see

Your first name and age — never your birth date or email.
Your city and an approximate distance — never precise coordinates.
The photos, prompts, and details you chose to add.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data.
We don't show your profile to anyone when you hide it or deactivate.
We don't notify people when you report or block them.

Your controls

You can edit your profile, hide it, pause discovery, block members, deactivate, or request deletion — all from Settings. Questions? hello@orbit.example.
